🌿 Introducing Dr. Michael Tong from the Australian National University (ANU)
Dr. Tong is a Senior Research Fellow in Environmental Health and Climate Change at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health, ANU. With his background in Medicine and Environmental Epidemiology, he has made significant contributions to climate change and health research, particularly in climate-sensitive disease control and prevention.
In the upcoming program, Dr. Tong will lead a session on Climate Change and Health Impacts, using case studies on:
- Climate-sensitive infectious diseases
- Climate change related heat illnesses
- Bushfires in Australia
His expertise in climate change health risk assessment, epidemiological fieldwork, and health interventions will provide valuable insights to our future climate leaders.
