🌟 Introducing Prof. Ryuji Matsuhashi from The University of Tokyo
Prof. Matsuhashi is a Professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo. With a Ph.D. in Engineering focused on carbon-neutral energy systems, he brings over three decades of expertise in energy systems and global environmental issues.
In the upcoming program, Prof. Matsuhashi will lead a session on Climate x Energy, covering:
- Global situation of climate energy systems in various regions
- Pathways to realize carbon-neutral energy systems
- Interactive discussion on climate and energy challenges
His extensive experience in governmental committees designing Japan’s energy systems and his research in environmental studies will provide invaluable insights to our future climate leaders.

Course Features
Prof. Ryuji Matsuhashi became an Associate Professor at the Department of Geosystem Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, the University of Tokyo since 1994 after serving as the Research Associate of the same from 1990 to 1993. He has become an Associate Professor at the Institute of Environmental Studies, Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, The University of Tokyo, since 1999. Next, he has become a Professor at the same institute of the University of Tokyo, since 2003. Then he has become a Professor at the Electrical Engineering and Information Systems, Graduate School of Engineering in the same university, since 2011.
