🌍Introducing Prof. KAMEYAMA Yasuko from the University of Tokyo!
Prof. Kameyama has been the Center Director of the Sustainable Society Design Center, Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, the Univ. of Tokyo since 2022. Before obtaining the position, she worked for the National Institute for Environmental Studies, Japan, for over thirty years.
Her session covers climate change basics, traces the history of global climate negotiations, and examines recent policy developments in international efforts to address this pressing issue.

Prof. Kameyama has been Center Director of Sustainable Society Design Center, Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, the Univ. of Tokyo since 2022. Before obtaining the position, she worked for National Institute for Environmental Studies, Japan, for over thirty years. Her background is International Relations, and her main focus of study is international institution buidling to respond to climate change. Her publications include “Climate Change Policy in Japan: From the 1980s to 2015” (Routledge, 2017). She is a member of Japanese Central Environmental Council, and also member of several environmental councils at local government level.
